TM Estate Sales specializes in sales of the finest estate jewelry, porcelain, crystal, and unusual antique items. 
In 1970 our company expanded from Thieves Market Antiques Auction and retail location with the addition of our on site Estate Sales Division.- -  TM Estate Sales. This was in direct response to requests from customer for appraisals and assistance in disposing of furniture and other household items due to an estate inheritance, downsizing, or a long-distance move.

Our Estate sales offer the entire contents of a home for sale. At TM Estate Sales, we understand that most individuals are understandably apprehensive about having their homes (or the home of a loved one) open to the public. Our clients have our assurance that the items they desire to sell will be liquidated in an efficient, professional and worry-free manner.

Throughout the liquidation process, your home and contents are treated with respect and care. We understand that you are not only liquidating personal property, but that you have memories associated with many of the items sold. Our goal is to provide you with a professional liquidation and to help eliminate any stress normally associated with such situations. We have found the activity of an on-site sale also creats interest in the home, which also may need to be sold. An Estate sale on site often has a direct beneficial impact on the market exposure, and many homes are sold during the process, a win win situation for families.

Since its founding, TM Estate Sales has conducted thousands of sales, liquidating the estates of various clients, from the rich and famous and other fine Washington D.C.area families. Some of these have included: Mrs. Polly Guggenheim-Logan and a relative of Mr. Alexander Haig's (U.S. Secretary of Defense) We held an Estate sale at the former home of Amelia Erhart of Mclean and assisted The Marquis de Chambrun- Great Grandson of the Marquis De Layfayett with his re-location, and also assisted the heirs of Margaret Mitchell- Famed Author of "Gone with the Wind".
