Q: WHAT EXACTLY IS AN ESTATE SALE?
A: The term “estate sale” generally refers to the sale of personal property, i.e. furniture, appliances, china, books, linens, etc. It differs from a garage sale in that it usually involves the entire contents of a household and is normally held inside the home over a period of 4 days.

Such a sale may be needed after a loved one's death or move to an assisted living facility or nursing home, if you are downsizing or moving from your current home, in the case of divorce or any other lifestyle change. In such emotional & stressful circumstances, we know how difficult it can be to sort out the entire contents of a home often accumulated over the course of a lifetime. It can be even more daunting to decide what to do with everything else after the family has removed items of sentimental value. Often times the least stressful alternative is to call in an estate sale team. We are here to help during such times with our professional services.

Q: WILL YOU MEET WITH MY LAWYER, ACCOUNTANT AND/OR FAMILY MEMBERS & Estate Representative?
A: We would be pleased to meet with you and any of your key decision-makers. Our first meeting is on a "no cost/no obligation" basis. If we purchase the contents or If you contract with us for the sale of your property, any additional meetings we may need are also on a "no cost" basis.

Q: WHAT ARE YOUR FEES?
A: If the Estate is purchased outright....There Are No Fees to you.
Our commission sales are based on a percentage of the gross sales. This varies per situation. We are happy to discuss specifics at our first meeting with you. Our services include advertising, all pre-sale organization, research, pricing and staffing of the sale.  We can also provide extra certified appraisal services as you may require on a fee basis.  There are no upfront costs.

Q: WHEN DO YOU PAY ME?
A: If we purchase the Estate in it's entirety, we pay you immediately. If we sell the contents on consignment, We present you with the proceeds of the sale, less our commission, no later than 5 days after the conclusion of the sale.

Q: HOW DO YOU GET BUYERS TO ATTEND MY SALE?
A: In addition to newspaper advertisements, photos & descriptions on our two websites and www.estatesales.net, a nation-wide estate sale listing website, and we even post rare & special items and sale location information to Craigs List- a Nationally recognized listings site. We also promote your estate sale to our established clients at our other sales prior to your scheduled date.We have a current comprehensive e-mail list for our regular clients.

Q: WHAT HAPPENS AFTER THE SALE?
A: After the sale, we clean out any unsold balance of the home leaving it completely empty and ready for real estate sale or closing. This is all included as the final step in our complete Estate services. If sold on a commission basis, we can provide you many suggestions to facilitate in the disposal of the items, or offer you our staff for a total cleanout, for an additional fee.
